MBCA 3D is making grounds

About four months ago, MBCA (Mineral Baptist Church Archery) was born. The program was started following our first successful season of Centershot.inc. The community response was huge from the instructional ministry. With little organized archery in our small town of Mineral, VA, the idea of providing a year around monthly 3D archery shoot took hold. We were able to pick up sponsorship from our local Pro-Shop, Hunt'N'Shak, for our Centershot program, giving it legitimacy as a program. From there MBCA took hold encompassing Centershot and outdoor 3D. To get started, we talked with several local bow hunters and have been borrowing 3D targets for the shoots. Though our first shoot was nothing like an actual outdoor 3D shoot, the idea had ground to grow from. Since that first shoot we have been averaging 20+ participates. The 3D shoot has taken form and is setup like any outdoor shoot, meeting the requirements of organized 3D shoots. We have just purchased our own 6 3D targets thru a sponsorship program we have been running with local businesses. Best part we are able to hold the 3D shoots open to the public and at no cost. Just a great time to come enjoy the comradery of archery with friends. Many of the students from the Centershot ministry participate regularly also. It is wonderful to watch as the program continues to grow. We would love to have you join in on the fun by following us on facebook. Just look us up under, Mineral Baptist Church Archery, and “LIKE” the page. Hope to see you all come along for the adventure as MBCA grows.
