All tools we have built recently into www.rcherz.com are great help for target archers, but now we are coming with even more crazy dream.   It just popped in my head during long flight back to Europe from the ATA Show :-)     So what is the dream?  We want to help archery training centers and national federations to monitor form of their young archers and help them with organization of competitions (including live scoring of competitions).   We are looking for partner, which will help us to sponsor scoring devices, which will be shipped to selected clubs, archery schools and archery training centers.      We don't ask single dollar for us, all will be shipped to the right hands and back to community.     Our plan:…

About four months ago, MBCA (Mineral Baptist Church Archery) was born. The program was started following our first successful season of Centershot.inc. The community response was huge from the instructional ministry. With little organized archery in our small town of Mineral, VA, the idea of providing a year around monthly 3D archery shoot took hold. We were able to pick up sponsorship from our local Pro-Shop, Hunt'N'Shak, for our Centershot program, giving it legitimacy as a program. From there MBCA took hold encompassing Centershot and outdoor 3D. To get started, we talked with several local bow hunters and have been borrowing 3D targets for the shoots. Though our first shoot was nothing like an actual outdoor 3D shoot, the idea had ground to grow from. Since that…

Rcherz.com represents one of the newest, and prehaps the most comprehensive websites for archers available today. Offering more than any other online archery communities, this platform provides a wide variety of functions from equipment profiles, practice and competition results, to more sophisticated characteristics like sight tape printing, all of which can easily be shared with you archery friends and teammates.   The site allows members to build an archery profile (which they can choose to link to Facebook) and create detailed profiles of their various bow setups and equipment. With all the information you can select how public you want to make it, meaning you have absolute control over what content you want made accessible to other members but can still record…

We were leaving from Budapest and even though it was already 7 o’clock in the evening, the thermometer showed us more than 30°C! The airport was full of people who were rushing to their holiday destinations – to places where the weather was even hotter but with refreshing feeling of sea.   We were also heading to the nice coast of the United Kingdom. But according to the website www.meteoinfo.sk, the weather forecast was not as convenient as for people who were going for their vacations. The weather forecast for our destinations was only 14°C with heavy showers and the weather was not supposed to change for the next week.  In Wirral (United Kingdom), it was reported temperature below 18 °C.   I thought that the forecast was mistaken as a Slovak…
301  archers from all over Europe gathered in Amsterdam to fight for the title of the European Champion, but most of the recurve archers traveled to Amsterdam with even bigger plans and expectations- to win a quota place for the Olympic Games in London 2012. We had exceptionally nice weather, the whole week being nice and sunny and pretty warm. The only metereological issue was a very challenging wind that continued to shift it's direction and strength.   Qualification rounds ended with not much surprises on the score board, high level archers were again on top but the difference between them and the rest was more significant due to shifty wind all day, esspecially in the afternoon.   However the individual elimination brought a bit more surprises for…
The 3rd and the last  stage World Cup of the year had a multiple importance for the 383 archers from 66 countries of the world. Other than it simply being a World Cup stage, it was the last chance to qualify for the World Cup final in Tokio and also it was the last chance for recurves, both teams and individuals to qualify for the Olympic Games in London.   After 72 qualifying arrows, archers shot the mixed team event and also tried to qualify for the one spot for a recurve team and one spot for a compound mixed team that will be shooting agains Japan's mixed teams in Tokio later this year. Both the recurve  (Ellison, Nichols) and compound American team (Wilde, Colin) dominated the field and qualified to shoot in Tokio against the host…
The 2nd leg of the 2012 Pro Archery Series was held mid June in the German town Mullenborn, near Gerolstein Germany. The 56 top field archers from all over the world were pushed to their limits the first day of competition. The never ending rain, strong cold wind on occassion and temperatures to low for summer time  made a very demanding hard field course even trickier. After the first day (28 targets, 4 arrows per target) the leader in the women's division was Anne Lantee having a very strong lead of 5 points in front of Ivana Buden and 8 points over Camilla Soemod. On the men's leader bord two names detached with 4-5 points over the rest: Slavko Turšič and Liam Grimwood.   The 2nd day we had an opportunity to finally see some sun and get dry after all the…
