The Rolan handle was invented in France in 1999.
Thought up by an expert in the plastics industry who is also an archery enthusiast, the Rolan handle revolutionized the beginner’s bow market. The company is specialized in thermoplastic injection transformation for the capital goods markets and for the outdoor, sports and leisure equipment markets.
With technical expertise in thick composite injection and a passion for archery, Roland Paillard met Mr. Derré of LAS Distribution, the leading distributor of archery equipment in France, in 1993 and decided to create his first archery product.
In 1998, the first composite handle was born from the cooperation of all of the partners in the sector: a designer, a materials manufacturer, a design office and a moldmaker. This technological innovation won the “1999 Artinov Rhône-Alpes” prize.
With this experience, research was logically turned toward an injected polymer limb in 2004, an indispensable complement to the Rolan handle.
The first product was the Innovation limb with its carbon variant, Evolution.
With experience and the technical optimization of this new generation of bow limbs, Rolan has successfully developed the Junior limb for young children.

In 2007, the technical progress that had been achieved enabled us to produce the Rflex limb and its carbon version, the Rfast.
Distributed in more than 20 countries worldwide, Rolan bows have demonstrated their quality and have won over an audience of beginners as well as more experienced archers as they are easy to use and have a unique design!
Rolan is an original brand based on innovative services for beginning and advanced archery.
